Salty Friends
A Big Thanks
We would like to thank the following people and companies for their encouragement and support in making the dream of 'The Saltwater Institute' a reality.
The team at Biolab have been so supportive in making The Saltwater Institute such an innovative and educationally sound program. 2018 will be our third year with Biolab, and it has developed into a relationship where not only are the students getting access to amazing sports science programs, but we are helping them develop new surf focussed programs. They are fully booked up for 2019 and have been very generous with the amount of units they have offered the 2019 program. We are looking forward to a long professional relationship with Biolab.
In 2018, YETI coolers have been incredibly generous in donating a range of coolers and perhaps more importantly, warming drink caddies for the Salties to utilise during their training sessions. A massive thank you to YETI, and we are looking forward to trying out different uses for all the products. YETI are completely in line with The Saltwater Institute's values of striving for excellence, quality and of course, fun.
Personally we would like to thank Troy Brooks for his inspirational conversations, and also his understanding of the world of elite surfing and what is needed for young kids to thrive in their sport and stay educated. Jack Perry (Modom), Scott Diamond (Surfcoast Secondary) and Dan Ross (Coach, Patagonia Ambassador) and Surfing Victoria were also integral in getting The Saltwater Institute off the ground, we thank you. Andrew Fallshaw (Bellroy) has been incredibly generous with his time and wisdom on lots of different topics, thanks Andy.
We invite you to check out the artwork of the talented Polly Morwood, the illustrator of our logo. And a big thank you to Kathryn Junor design, a Torquay local, for her quick turnaround and great work.
